The Photos Are Coming

I am sure you have noticed, but the photos section of my website is being revamped. Due to monthly bandwidth limitations (20MB), photo limitations (latest 200 photos), and the fact that the photos are hosted on a website that I do not own, I am ditching Flickr and hosting all of my photos on my own server. Hopefully, this will bring two major benefits to my little piece of the internet.

First, I will now have the option to host an almost unlimited amount of photos. With Flickr, I am limited to uploading 20MB of photos per month and only showing the latest 200 photos. I know I can buy a pro account to get rid of that, but why do that when I currently have plenty of space/bandwidth on my server. The second major benefit is the ability to have people comment on the photos without the need to go to, and register, at an external site. I never did like that.

Anyway, consider this the official announcement, and be patient from now until it is finalized. The photos section will probably go offline frequently while I fix/break/fix/break things. In the mean-time, feel free to look around. Oh, and the comments feature is currently working. You just have to hit the “detail” button and then select “add comment” from the drop-down. It is annoying, and I am working on fixing it. Adios.
