When I had the idea of posting a Verse of the Moment, I envisioned that it would be secluded to the Hip-Hope genre. Why? Well, I find that other genres (Rock, R&B, etc.) just do not paint as clear or vivid of a picture with their lyrics (usually). That, and I am partial to Hip-Hop, as that is the music, culture, inspiration, etc. that I grew up on.
Well, needless to say that seclusion did not last long, as this months Verse of the Moment does not come from the Hip-Hop genre. Instead, this month, I got a cold (slang definition: incredible, impressive, superb) R&B verse from Ne-Yo. I have been listening to his song “When You’re Mad” for the past month or so almost non-stop. The song is just that good. And, I feel that way at times, so I can definitely relate to what he is talking about (a plus in all music). And to make it even better, he has recently released a video for the song. Good choice. Anyway, enough of me rambling. Here is the music/lyrics:

Well since I’m sexy on just about every other occasion, I’m ok with being just cute when I’m mad. And as for my future boyfriend, no worries there. He tells me I’m sexy all the time. Now doesn’t he?
