You are probably right about "more people [having] Flash than [I] think" part. Also, doing Flash would probably inconvenience the least amount of people overall. But there is just something about asking / forcing my readers / viewers to install third party software that makes me go "hmmm."

Is there a way to do all this within PHP without the use of third-party apps?</description>

		<description>I recommend the flash approach.  More people have Flash than you think.  It loads faster than WMP as well.  BTW, I'm visiting in Windows and I don't have WMP installed (I know its under there, but I DID say NO!) and, as such, the Real Player plugin doesn't always work in Firefox for me and I have to load Windows Media url's in the standalone Real Player.  But that's my choice.  I bet that I'm not alone.</description>
