Well it looks like Canada is finally on its way to become one of the richest nations in the world now that their sandy oil reserves are being utilized. Now I knew there was money in oil, but had no clue there was this type of money in oil:
This oil belongs to the Province of Alberta. It is making it rich: a big place with a small population of three million people. Alberta has paid off its debts and has such a budget surplus already that it has just given every provincial taxpayer a rebate cheque for 400 Canadian dollars, about £200, as a sort of New Year present.
And even know, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around money of that magnitude. Should I be considering moving to Alberta though? Maybe.
Also, take a look at the size of that dump-truck in the picture compared to the size of those people. I could not even imagine what it would be like to drive one of those machines around, but I bet it would be fun.
