So today I got interviewed by our school newspaper The Western Front. I was a little bit more than a lot skeptical about the interview as all media outlets tend to have a knack for taking quotes out of context. In addition, our school newspaper has had its fair share of problems misquoting people in the past. However, I am not one for holding grudges or judging the current editors based on past employees, so I went ahead with the interview.
Anyway, the article is supposed to discuss why non-white graduation rates at Western Washington University are less than white graduation rates (percentages enrolled/graduated, not actual graduation numbers). I like the topic, as it is one that I myself, and BSU, attempt to deal with on a daily basis. With that, here is to hoping that the article is well written and that I am not misquoted. I will post an update (or a link) to the article once it is published.
