I have Netflix again; yup, good 'ol Netflix. I was going to try the new and self-proclaimed best online DVD rental service Blockbuster online, but I just could not bring myself to do it. Maybe I am partial to the bright red envelopes that show up in my mail, maybe I am just rooting for the underdog, or maybe I just did not like their interface. Actually, I am willing to bet it is a little bit of all of the above plus a pinch of some unnamed items. Either way, it is Netflix for me.
Before I signed up for the second time, I was a bit worried. I know Netflix has a distribution system in Tacoma, WA, so while living there I would always get movies the next day, and it was great. I would drop a watched movie in the mail on Monday, they would ship out a move on Tuesday, and a new movie would arrive in my mailbox by Wednesday. However, now that I am in Bellingham, WA, I was a bit concerned about the turnaround time. Well, it is not that bad. Definitely not as fast as before, but I live about 120+ miles further away, so I just cannot have the same expectations as before. Anyway, nowadays if I drop a movie in the mailbox on Monday, it is common for a new movie to be in my mailbox on Thursday. I have had a few movies do the three-day turnaround, but the average is definitely four, with one or two taking five days. It definitely is OK with me, as the convenience of it, and the selection, is simply outstanding.
Anyways, because I have nothing else to write about today, I figured I would give you some rating for some recently watched movies. Here ya go:
Wedding Crashers : 5
Harold and Kumar go to White Castle : 2
National Treasure : 3
Jay-Z: Fade to Black : 4
And there you have it. My little ratings for some of the movies I have watched lately. If you got any recommendations for some must-see movies, feel free to make them, as I have nothing else to do this summer but watch movies (and play video games).
