The Beethoven Experience

Now I know this one might not be for everyone, but a few folks might like it. It appears that the BBC Philharmonic is going to perform all nine of Beethoven's symphonies on BBC Radio. In addition (since that by itself would not be worth posting) the performances are all going to be able to be downloaded for free. Yes, you did read that correctly, the downloads are free. Be forwarned however that the files (mp3 format) are around 30MB. They also contain some commentary at the beginning of the files (naturally), but you can get rid of that with a quick flick of an mp3 editor.

Anyway, if you are on a slower connection you may want to add this one to your download manager and let it download while you sleep. As of this writing, only the first and third symphonies are available for download, but the other seven should be uploaded as the days progress and the performances take place. So, if you want to hear some good classical music, point your browser to The Beethoven Experience and get your download-on. Enjoy.
