So I was taking a little bit longer of a break from studying than I expected too, and I though, why not post a blog about something. I had a little bit of trouble thinking of something at first, but then it hit me; I'll just post about the advertisements on my page. So, to begin, I would like to extend thanks to all the folks who have been clicking on the ads. I am not rich or anything, but I managed to make a few pennies from the clicks. So, thanks to whoever has been clicking, and please, continue to do so. Also, in an attempt to place the ads in places where it makes the most sense (and cents), I have them posted I now have them appearing on the bottom of a few articles. I am not sure how much I like this, as I refuse to have a website that forces its users to be subjected to ads.
Now, making a few pennies is nice, but overall I am more concerned with the website from the stand-point of the users. So, I am asking the folks who read this to give me their input. I have two options, they are:
1) Have the ads displayed on the right edge of the screen.
2) Have the ads placed at the bottom of articles.
So those are my two options (unless someone can think of a better one. I do not want to keep both, as I personally think that will be too much. I think the in-article style might be a little to subtle and too easy to overlook. Also, the in-article style is more work because I have to post the code into each story manually. However, I almost feel like the right-edge style is taking up too much room and too obtrusive. So as you can see, I am sort of stuck. I am not sure as to which one to keep; I just know I do not want to keep both. Therefore, I would like some feedback from the visitors. Which one would do you think works best, both from the perspective of the visitor and the operator. Also, if you do not want to post a comment but would like to let me know your opinion on the matter, you can always send me an email (email address is to your left - or your right if you are from Canadia).
Again, thank you to those folks who have clicked on an ad or two. And now, the ads…
