So I made fun of Kanye West a few updates ago, only to find that Eminem and his boy band D12 are doing the exact same thing. And like last time, I still don’t get it. Well, I should clarify that, I get it from the artists’ point of view, because I imagine most of the money above the initial CD price goes directly to them, so it makes economic sense, but I still don’t get it from the users’ standpoint. No matter how I look at it, I can’t justify paying ridiculous amounts of money for a CD that I can pick up at a local shop on sale for $9.99.
Also for news today, my friend has launched his own website recently. You can check it out here. Its main focus is everything Hip-Hop. Hopefully he’ll take it somewhere, as there aren’t really that many ‘good’ Hip-Hop websites. You can find a lot sprinkled here and there, but none that really satisfy your cravings. That’s actually one of the reasons why I have a album reviews section, because most of the artists that I like are hardly mentioned on the bigger websites. It’s really a sad thing too, since there are some really good artists that never get the limelight they deserve.
OH! I almost forgot, the website got its 100th hit the other day. WooooHooo! I was pretty happy about that. I know that’s the amount of traffic most sites do in an hour or two, but seeing as how this is nothing but a hobby for me at the time, I don’t pay for hosting, don’t’ pay for advertising, and don’t do any link exchanges with other websites, I thought it was a pretty big accomplishment.
Well, on that note, it’s time for me to go get some sleep. Oh, before I go, if you got some free time, entertain yourself with some “Yo Momma…” jokes. It sounds childish, but there were some in there that I have never heard of and had me damn near rolling on the floor. Later.
