Easter Candy & The Grey Album

So the other day I got a few bags (big bags) of Easter candy for cheap. It was great. Why am I telling you this? Well, it may be time for you to head to your local grocery store and try and pick up some leftover Easter candy for a great deal. I managed to get some nice sized bags of Jelly Beans for $0.29 each and some friends of mine picked up some of the big bags of M&Ms (Easter type of course) for only $0.79 each. That's something like an 80% discount. I was a little skeptical at first, but surprisingly enough, the candy wasn't stale. Matter of fact, I think I just might have to head down to the store tomorrow and pick up some more Jelly Beans. After all, you can never have enough Jelly Beans.

I found this mix awhile back and almost forgot about it. Not sure what reminded me of it, but since I was thinking of it, I figured I'd post it for you folks. You may have, or may have not heard about the many mixtapes of Jay-Z's latest and last album “The Black Album” that have been created by various DJ's around the world since its release. Well, one has got quite a bit of attention. It is one by a DJ Danger Mouse and it mixes Jay-Z's “The Black Album” lyrics with the music from The Beatles “The White Album” and is appropriately titles “The Grey Album”. surprisingly, both MTV and Rolling Stone have a small write-up about it and the legal troubles that it has caused. Also, another website which can be found here has some content/information from/about the album (hint hint). I'm not much for DJ mixtapes most of the time, but I must admit this album is fairly impressive. Much better than what I was expecting. Obviously the production quality isn’t up to par with the retail version of the CD but the beats fit the lyrics very well, and in some instances, better than the actual beats from the album.
